Lamar Consolidated ISD officials are evaluating three distinct boundary adjustments for the upcoming Danziger Elementary School.

The district intends to open the new facility in August 2027. The building sits within the Blue Creek Trails subdivision. Jonathan Maxwell, the district's executive director of enrollment management, stated the project aims to reduce enrollment strain at Adolphus and McNeil Elementary Schools. The rezoning also targets a potential drop in enrollment at Hubenak Elementary.

District staff presented these plans to the board of trustees at a meeting on Oct. 20. No vote was cast during that session. The board and the attendance boundary committee will review the options again in November. They must select a final plan before the first school year begins.

Option 1 assigns the Long Meadow Farms neighborhood east of Hwy. 99 to Danziger. This plan moves portions of Fagert, McNeil, and Adolphus to Hubenak. Terrell loses parts of its zone to Fagert, while Bentley transfers to Frost. Frost loses much of its territory to Adolphus. Brandt Road serves as the dividing line between Adolphus and Frost, splitting McCrary Meadows.

Option 2 also gives Danziger the Long Meadow Farms area and uses Hwy. 99 as a boundary. A large section of Fagert moves to Hubenak under this proposal. Westheimer Lakes splits between Hubenak and Terrell. Frost loses territory to Adolphus, and a small piece of Bentley goes to Frost. McCrary Meadows remains split by Brandt Road between Adolphus and Frost.

Option 3 mirrors Option 2 for the Danziger and Hwy. 99 boundaries. Parts of Fagert shift to Hubenak, while sections of Hubenak and Frost move to Fagert. Bentley cedes territory to Frost. Adolphus gains parts of Frost and a small portion of Hubenak. Brandt Road remains the boundary between Adolphus and Frost. This specific plan leaves the Terrell Elementary zone unchanged.
