Fi tracker price drops to launch level
A 30 percent discount on satellite-connected dog GPS devices lasts through Sunday.

Pet owners can now buy the Fi Ultra GPS tracker for $209.30, a price that matches the device's original launch cost. The 30 percent discount applies through October 25 for customers who enter the coupon code SCARY at checkout. This reduction affects several satellite-connected models in Fi's lineup, making the hardware cheaper than its standard retail price.
Fi first sold the Ultra at this lower price point when the product launched. The company had raised the price for some time before this current promotion. The device is designed for dogs that roam in areas with weak cellular signals. It clips to a collar or harness and uses a combination of LTE, GPS, and Starlink satellite coverage to pinpoint a pet's location. The hardware holds an IP68 rating, meaning it is fully waterproof, including in saltwater. Battery life reaches up to five days for active dogs, though this varies based on activity levels.
The Verge tested the tracker earlier this year in a remote area of South Carolina. Reviewers noted that tracking was precise, though the update interval of two to three minutes could be a limitation for very fast runners. In Lost Mode, battery performance dropped, with a full charge lasting barely two days. The physical size of the unit also makes it better suited for larger dogs than smaller breeds. Fi describes the Ultra as the first dog tracker to combine T-Satellite with Starlink, GPS, and LTE. The device can also play sounds and vibrate to get a dog's attention.
Using the tracking features requires an active subscription. Fi offers discounts on the first billing term and provides six-month, one-year, and two-year plans with lower overall monthly rates. A one-year plan costs $99 for the first year and $189 for each subsequent year. These plans function only in the United States, and there is no satellite coverage in Alaska.
Other discounts are available on the same platform. Amazon lists a physical copy of Kirby Air Riders for the Nintendo Switch 2 at $48.99, down from the standard $69.99. The JLab JBuds Talk USB-C microphone is priced at $24.99, a steep drop from its usual range of $50 to $100. The microphone features four directional modes and a 96KHz/24-bit sample rate. Lego's Star Wars Grogu set is also listed at $103.99, which is $26 below its normal price and the lowest cost recorded to date. The 1,200-piece kit includes swappable arms and facial features, along with a built-in lever that turns the head.
The Fi promotion ends on October 25. The price of the tracker will return to its standard level after that date unless another promotion is announced. Buyers must apply the SCARY code during checkout to receive the 30 percent reduction on the hardware. The subscription costs remain separate from the hardware discount and are billed according to the selected plan length.
