Jay-Z will perform at the halftime show of Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027. The NFL and Apple Music confirmed the booking on Monday. The game is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The announcement aired during a Monday night football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles. Jay-Z released a statement reflecting on his career path. He noted the journey from his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, to the Super Bowl stage. He described the moment as thirty years of music, work, and culture culminating on the world's biggest stage. He called the achievement a dream realized.

Roc Nation, Jay-Z's company, has produced the halftime show since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year contract extension to continue in that role through 2029. Under Roc Nation's direction, the halftime performances have shifted toward hip-hop and rap. Last year's show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, featured Bad Bunny. Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin made special appearances at that event.

The previous Super Bowl held in Los Angeles took place in 2022. That halftime show featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak also performed. More recent halftime performers include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.

Jay-Z has a 25-grammy award record. He has never performed at the Super Bowl despite his connections to the league and previous acts. He has been on tour this year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The tour, named Jay-Z 30, started with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. He then played two shows in London and one in Paris in September.

His next scheduled dates are October 23 and October 24 at SoFi Stadium. These two nights will serve as a direct rehearsal for his upcoming Super Bowl performance.
