Oppo has launched the Find X10 Pro Max in Europe at a price of €1,799. The new flat flagship sits just €200 below the cost of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8, which retails for €1,999 in the region. This pricing places a standard rectangular phone in the same price bracket as folding devices.

The device runs on an Android system and uses a MediaTek processor. A reviewer for 9to5Google spent several weeks with the phone before its release. They reported strong performance, high-quality cameras, and excellent battery life. The reviewer stated that buyers who focus on these hardware features would be satisfied with the device.

However, the high cost has generated immediate backlash online. Users on Reddit pointed out that the Find X10 Pro Max costs the same as the latest iPhone 18 Pro Max. Critics noted that the price feels steep for a non-foldable handset. Some users also observed that prices in certain regions appear disproportionately high compared to other markets.

The reviewer did not place the blame solely on Oppo. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is priced at €1,769 in Europe, which is only €30 less than the new Oppo. Rumors suggest Xiaomi is facing similar pricing pressures for its next European release. The article attributes this trend to industry-wide issues, specifically referring to the situation as "RAMageddon" due to the impact of AI companies on memory costs.

Older models present a strong alternative for budget-conscious shoppers. The reviewer stated they would choose the previous year’s Find X9 Ultra over the new model. The Find X9 Pro is currently available in Europe for approximately €1,000. Commenters noted that the older flagship often includes more memory and a larger battery than the new device while costing hundreds of euros less.

Some buyers in the United Kingdom reported finding promotional offers that reduce the sticker price. Despite these discounts, the base price of €1,799 remains the primary point of contention. The market is currently experiencing exceptionally high costs for flagship hardware. Oppo’s new flagship enters this environment at the top of the price range for flat phones.
