Tampa Bay defeated Milwaukee 4-3 in 12 innings on Tuesday night to force a fifth game in the World Series.

The teams played through 11 scoreless innings following the fifth inning. In the top of the 12th, rookie Cooper Pratt hit a solo home run to put the Brewers ahead 3-2. Tampa Bay answered in the bottom half when a throwing error allowed Junior Caminero to reach base. Jonny DeLuca followed with a game-tying single, and Ben Williamson hit a walk-off single to right field to score the winning run.

The Rays had lost the first three games of the series. They became the fifth team in World Series history to win Game 4 after falling behind 3-0, according to Major League Baseball. The previous four teams in that situation did not win Game 5. Pratt finished with four hits, including the go-ahead homer, but the Rays' late offensive surge prevented Milwaukee from completing the sweep. Milwaukee remains one win away from its first World Series championship, while the Rays continue their pursuit of their first title.

Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday night at Tropicana Field. The Brewers will attempt to secure the championship, and the Rays will look to extend the series.
