Asana Partners will begin construction on a new retail building at The Arboretum in the spring.

The firm released construction plans for the 197,105-square-foot shopping center it acquired on Feb. 4. The new structure will occupy 14,000 square feet on the outskirts of the property. Construction is scheduled to finish in late 2027, and retailers are expected to open their doors by fall 2028.

Asana Partners is a real estate investment firm. The shopping center currently houses a mix of local and national brands. Tenants include Amy’s Ice Creams, Juliet Italian Kitchen, Barnes & Noble, and The Cheesecake Factory.

The renovation package includes more than just the new building. The plans call for new outdoor dining patios and improved pathways connecting those patios to the main courtyard. The firm also plans to install new play structures for children, expand seating, and update signage. Lighting in the primary courtyard will be replaced.

Common areas will be modified to support community-focused programming. Events are set to begin in late 2026, with year-round programming scheduled for next year. The center is also adding new tenants. JETSET Pilates opened a location on Sept. 11, offering 50-minute full-body workout classes.

A skincare concept called Peachy will open near Pottery Barn in spring 2027. The New York-based company provides preventative wrinkle treatments.
